In 1875, the firm now known as H.C. Truitt Company was established as Gatch Roofing Company. A gentleman named John Kratt acquired the company in the early 1900's.

John Kratt's niece married H.C. Truitt, and Truitt joined the firm in 1930.

In 1950, Gatch Roofing Company changed its name to the H.C. Truitt Company.

Later, in 1954, John L. Truitt joined the firm after serving in the United States Air Force. Following in his father's footsteps, he represents the company with his 46 years of expertise in the roofing industry.

In 1982 Todd Truitt joined the company following in his father's and grandfather's footsteps making his the third generation of Truitts to serve the company.

The H.C. Truitt Company is still providing you with the integrity it started with in 1875.
